My name is Anders Nilsson and I am a freelance reporter, specializing in science. I consider myself a generalist, writing about all fields of research and how they influence society. I’ve been a professional journalist since 1996. Parabel Media is the name of my company.
My main customers are leading Swedish research institutions and funding agencies, such as Karolinska Institutet, the Swedish Research Council , the Swedish Energy Agency and The Swedish Council for Working Life and Social Research.
I do interviews in English, and occasionally even give lectures to PhD students in English. (Topic: How to write popular science and why researchers should bother.) I prefer to write only in Swedish though, and I collaborate with professional translators when necessary.
I’m a part of the Stockholm-based freelance group Vetenskapsjournalisterna (which include a science writer who speaks English as her native tongue). Check out our website here.
